本体部分は蛍光色のような黄色。口のふちにリップのようにオレンジの色がついており、それによって、きりっとひきしまっています。この技術は吹きガラスでは二人体制でないとできない作業とのことで、技術的にも手間のかかる工程だそうです。光のさしかたによって、窓辺に置いて光を透かしたり、上から光をあてたりすることで、まるで内側から光って蛍光しているようにみえます。一見モダンでもあり、また和の黒い漆のお盆などともあわせやすく、フルーツはもちろん、お茶の時間に、夏の冷菓や、ゼリー、くずもちなどなどの和菓子ともよくあいます。
